The Spindle Shed

IMG_6882.jpeg

The hooks are empty for a moment, and the shelves have been cleared. Every hand-spun skein from the last harvest has now found its way to a new home. While the shop is quiet, work has returned to the rhythm of the shed—washing, carding, and spinning the "captured clouds" from the spring shearing. The wool is rising, but it cannot be rushed. The Spindle Shed

Welcome to the heart of the workshop, where raw fleece is turned into cozy yarn.

Grown by the Herd, Found in the Briars

The resident herd is led by Mwsogl, a Pygora goat whose name means Moss in Welsh, and guarded by Blodwyn the llama. After the spring shearing, the fleece is washed and carded right here by the fire.

But sometimes, the wool arrives in a different way.

The nameless small folk love to gather loose tufts of fleece caught on the wild berry bushes and stone walls. They spin and felt these "captured clouds" into tiny tokens, leaving them to be discovered in the morning mist.

From the Hearth to Your Hands

Every item is shaped by the steady rhythm of this old homestead. The shop features wild-spun skeins and natural craft kits made with botanical dyes from the garden and pure wool from the herd.

While the Spindle is Turning:
  • THE STILLROOM: Browse the quiet apothecary shelves for cooling herbal salves and forest mists.

  • THE CURIO COTTAGE: Discover finished goods and small-batch kits left on the shelves.

  • THE CHRONICLES: Open the farm journal to see the daily life of the herd on this rainy Peninsula farm.

The wool is rising by the hearth.

Sit by the fire a while and peruse the parchment map of the farm

Named for Mwsogl (our moss-loving 'Moose'), this is our quiet post for those who love artful fiber and folk herbals. Sign up to know exactly when the next batch of wild-crafted & wild-spun treasures is ready to leave the studio.
